Draft pending legal review. Updated September 11, 2026.
This policy explains what information we collect, what we use it for, who we share it with and how we protect it. It follows Chapter 69O-128 of the Florida Administrative Code, which governs the privacy of information handled by insurance agents. It applies to this website and to your relationship with Miguel León as your insurance agent.
What we collect
When you fill out the contact form: your name, phone number, email address and ZIP code. Nothing else.
At the same time, and only as a record of your consent, our server stores the date and time of the submission, the IP address it came from, the page and browser you used, the language, and the exact text of the consent checkbox in front of you and whether you checked it. We keep the full text, not just a “yes”, because the law places on the caller the burden of proving what each person authorized.
When we talk by phone or WhatsApp: whatever you choose to share so we can find you coverage, such as your household size, your estimated income or the doctors you want to keep.
Health information: this website does not collect it. If it were ever needed to process an application, we would first ask for your separate written authorization, as Florida law requires.
What we use it for
- To answer you and talk with you about health and life insurance.
- To help you compare options and, if you decide to, apply for coverage.
- To comply with the law: documenting your consent and responding to regulators.
We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not share it with anyone so they can market to you.
Who we share it with
Only in the cases the law allows without your authorization, and only what is strictly necessary:
- To process what you ask for. If you decide to apply for coverage, your information goes to the insurance company you choose, to the Health Insurance Marketplace, and to the enrollment platform we use (HealthSherpa). Some policies are processed through the agency Miguel is affiliated with.
- To technical providers that run this website or message delivery, who may only use it to provide that service to us.
- When the law requires it, for example to the Florida Department of Financial Services or the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
The same rules apply to former clients: they do not change when the relationship ends.
Your rights and how to opt out
Because we do not share your information with third parties outside the cases above, there is currently nothing you need to opt out of. If that ever changed, we would tell you first and you could object at no cost. At any time you can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to stop contacting you.
How to withdraw your consent
To stop us from contacting you, any of these works:
- Reply STOP to any text message. We also honor PARE, ALTO and CANCELAR.
- Tell the person who calls you.
- Call or message on WhatsApp at (407) 821-9698.
We apply it within ten business days at most.
How we protect it
What you send through the form is stored on our own server, not with third-party services, and travels encrypted (HTTPS). Access is limited to whoever is handling your case. This website uses no cookies for visitors, no analytics tools and no social media or advertising tracking pixels.
If your personal information were ever compromised, we would notify you as required by Florida law (section 501.171, Florida Statutes).
How long we keep it
The record of your consent to be contacted, at least five years. The documentation of your consent before the Health Insurance Marketplace, ten years, as federal regulation requires. Everything else, for as long as it is needed to serve you or the law requires.
Annual notice
While you are a client we will send you this notice once a year, and whenever something important changes.
